The Russian government has expelled Swedish, German and Polis #diplomats this Friday, accusing them of taking part in protests for the release of Kremlin critic Alexei #Navalny. This comes the same day as EU Foreign Affairs chief Josep Borrell met his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, and as German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel #Macron were holding talks on security this afternoon. The latter voiced his “strong condemnation” of #Russia’s move.
