10 years after Fukushima | Radioactive soil storage still a challenge

A decade after the tsunami and subsequent disaster at the Fukushima nuclear power plant, workers are still cleaning up the radioactive topsoil. The waste will be stored there until 2045, when the Japanese government has pledged it will be relocated to a permanent facility outside the prefecture – although it has yet to find a location whose stakeholders are willing to house it.
