As the ceasefire takes effect in Palestine’s Gaza, members of Gaza’s Civil Defense have begun retrieving dozens of unidentified Palestinian bodies throughout the north and south of the besieged enclave.
Their efforts continue, and the number of corpses recovered grows. Within a day, the count doubled from 66 to over 120, according to AP.
At least 11,000 Palestinians are reported missing in the aftermath of Israel’s 15 months of genocide against the people of Gaza. Family members of the missing have flocked to the sites of the Civil Defense’s operations for answers regarding the state of their loved ones.
