Trump has previously made comments about acquiring international assets, such as the Panama Canal or Greenland. Now, he says he wants the U.S. to regain control of Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.
Bagram was the main hub for U.S. forces in Afghanistan during the two decades of war that followed the September 11 attacks on the United States in 2001.
